The Wishing House

This project was born from an idea that came to us during a trip to Texas. While we were there, we imagined what it would look like to create a truly premium Airbnb experience — a place where visitors coming to Bridgeville, Delaware, could arrive, settle in, and genuinely feel like they had found somewhere special. 

Shortly after returning, we found the right property. It had real potential, but it needed a thoughtful renovation and a design vision capable of transforming it into something memorable. Once the interior of the home was fully remodeled, we stepped outside — and realized the work had only just begun. 

The outdoor space was where the experience would truly be defined. We designed a complete outdoor environment intended to give every guest something beyond what they expected: a custom pool and patio, an outdoor kitchen, a wood-fired pizza oven, a gas fire pit, a traditional wood fire pit, an outdoor fireplace, a sauna, a garden, and artificial turf — each element chosen with care and placed with purpose. 

Every feature was designed to invite guests to spend time outside, to gather, to cook, to relax, and to create the kind of memories that make a stay worth remembering long after checkout. 

Because of the quality and ambition of the project, we were selected to participate in the Techo-Bloc Showcase Program in 2024 — a distinction given to projects that exemplify design and craftsmanship at the highest level. The entire transformation was documented through professional filming, capturing the design process, the construction, and the final result. 

The program was a complete success. Today, The Wishing House operates as a fully functioning luxury Airbnb, offering guests — especially those attending the beautiful weddings held throughout the Bridgeville area — a spectacular place to stay, unwind, and experience every outdoor moment it has to offer. 

It began as a vision. It became a destination.
